Garena Free Fire is an online-only third-person action-adventure battle royale game.
Up to 50 players parachut onto an island in quest of weapons and equipment to kill other players in a battle royale encounter. Players can choose their starting position and equip themselves with weapons and supplies to extend the combat period.
The game begins with players on a plane flying over an island. The player can jump wherever they choose while the plane is flying over the island, allowing them to choose a strategic landing spot away from the adversaries. The player must scavenge for weapons and utility items after landing. The island is littered with medical supplies, medium and large weaponry, grenades, and other distinctive stuff. The player's ultimate goal is to survive on an island with up to 50 other players online, which means eliminating all opponents along the way and guaranteeing that they are the only ones left alive. The extent of the accessible safe zones on the game's map shrinks over time, forcing survivors into smaller locations for forced encounters. The round is won by the last person or team standing.
